Mother Daughter Night

I recently went to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the movie, with my Mom. We had a fabulous time and the movie was fantastic! The movie was very funny, charming, and a really nice show for people of all ages. After watching the film, my Mother and I came to the conclusion that Johnny Depp is one of our favorite male actors. He does a great job in whatever role he plays. Captain Jack Sparrow, The Secret Window, and now Willy Wonka, how does he do it? Yes, the movie was lovely, the food was good, but it was mostly such a good night because It was just me and my Mom spending time together! Over all I'd have to rate the night with "two thumbs up"!

Roberts Creek

From the 15th of July to the 18th in 2005, I was in the Sunshine Coast. It was such a blast and I am extremely glad that I went because I almost didn't. Besides Me, Lori, Sarah, and Elisa Abercrombie, Madison MacAulay and Lauren Szlovicsak went as well. We stayed at Mike Abercrombie's parent's home. It was loacted right on the beach, so there was always something to do. "Baba" and "Papa" were especially kind and great to be around. Baba made the most delicious meals and Papa always made us laugh! We spent a lot of time at the beach just laying on the rocks and soaking up the sun. But we also looked for sea creatures and went swimming in the ocean. My two favorite finds were a Sea Snake and a shell with an Oyster inside of it. About four times, the vistitors, including myself, went shopping at the local mall and at a nearby town called Davis Bay. This trip was an incredible amount of fun and I am eager to go there again!

Smoking or Smoked Salmon?

While on a ferry coming back from Roberts Creek with some of my closest friends, we spotted a t-shirt that read "if you must smoke, smoke salmon". I thought it was very clever and I completley agree with the saying!

J.E.L.M

When I saw this poem, I immediatley thought of my three greatest friends, Elisa, Lauren and Madison. They are always there for me and I hope that they know that I will always be there for them too! Even though we are going to different high schools in September, I know that we'll stay best buds! This poem is dedicated to the three finest friends ever!

Then before I could comprehend
What had happened to four best friends
It ended up being farther than a walk next door
But a journey of a whole lot more-
So hopefully sometime
Our separation will end
And it will also finish
The journey of four best friends

Praying 101

Is there a certain way that people are suppost to pray? That is what I wonder almost every night. Sometimes I see people on T.V praying with their eyes closed, hands in the "praying position" and talking in their minds. I also see some people praying with their heads bowed down and their eyes closed speaking out loud and sometimes I see mixtures of the two. So my question is, does it really matter how you pray, will God listen which ever way you choose to talk to him, or is there one specific way that works best?

Goodbye Grade Seven

On Wednesday June 29TH 2005, the grade seveners of Hatzic Elementary had to say goodbye. For some they didn't feel anything, but for others it was very emotional. Division one was an especially close class, which I think was why it was so incredibly hard to say farewell. Most of the students are moving on to Hatzic Secondary School, but there are some other people that are going to Heritage and Mission, so it wasn't like you could just say "talk to you in September" you actually had to say goodbye because chances are you aren't going to see eachother for a long, long time, if that! There were many tears and many hugs, but to see people you love crying, it made it that much harder to leave.

The Afterlife

Not that I plan on dieing any time soon, but sometimes I wonder where I'll go when I pass away. I've heard that you can choose what you become when you are in heaven, an ordinary angel, an angel to help humans on Earth or even God's helper. I have no idea what to expect, but I would really like to know. Will I become an angel, or simply just disappear?
